nice stuff there ...

any information about the ESC's price ? it seems that that "Electronize" brand is cheaper & more performant than some german well known brand ?!?

you say your motors are high revs , do you plan to gear them down ?

eagerly waiting to the commissioning ceremony , anyway

I think the speed cons were �15-00 each, the motors will be direct drive,

Hi Guys, The next thing you need is at least one servo.

On the servo you need an arm, I normaly have the servo arm slightly longer than the arm at the rudder, it gives a little more throw to the rudder , and that helps in turning your model.

Slightly shorter arm at the rudder end.

Everything back in place.

Motors fitted in place, note the universal joint connecting the motor to the prop shaft.

Wiring from both motors marked ,RED + starboard , BLACK - starboard, RED + port, BLACK - port, less chance of getting them mixed up.

Hi Ron Plenty of room in there . I like the idea of using the opening for the barbette to gain access for the servo

Laurant, I bought the 2 ESC last year at a show, the same show takes place today and tomorrow, I have just checked the company and the nearest to mine are now the FR43VR the price �29-50 . Double what I paid.

Hi Guys, Moffett got her hull wet today.

This is my test tank, just over 6 ft long, made from planks of wood and blocks, with a plastic linner, and about 20 gallons of water.

I have posted 9 shots of the model, some Port , some Starboard, With everything onboard , the model required 3lb of lead ballest.

Morning Ron,

Absolutely fabuuuulous!!! With all her teeth fitted and sitting in your test tank she looks great. One question, were you a jammy so & so and got her upright and level first go or did you have to move/add weights? I'm curious.

Think I'll leave the bricks at home on the 15th and merely plague you with my Raumboot, that's if I bring it along.

As I said. yopur 'Muppet' looks fabulous.

Howie, I put in the main battery under the forward superstructure and trimmed her out with 3lbs of lead under the second stack.

just finished my nights and am catching up before i go and grab a few hours much needed sleep, nice to see her wet. The electrics is what really scares me, so here goes with my first stupid question, you said your R/C controller had been for aircraft but has been modified, can you explain please.
And what am i looking at cost wise for one(be gentle)i'm feeling fragile

Roy, the companies that build these sell more 35 meg radio,s for aircraft, but to get extra money they build 40 meg ones for boats and cars, all they do is change the crystals and a few tweeks on the electrics inside, they dont alter the writting on the outside.

Price for a 6 channel is �126-00, I am only useing 3 channels at the moment, so I have 3 spare to get anything working in the future,

i'd guessed at about the �140 mark so that has come as a pleasant surprise

thanks for clearing up the controller question it was a great help
any idea what R/c shows are coming up as i would like to visit one suss out the traders etc
