I will surely do that Heiko. The ships will be finished 100% (that includes the PE nets) after July 5 when i will be back from my trip to Italy and Gemany.

Alright, new project - this one I was kicking around for a while, I had the interior done, but I had to get inspiration for the camo and markings - here it is, courtesy of Logan Hartke. Backstory being the Chinese captured a Vietnamese Hind-A, or it was sold to them for equipment, who then reverse engineered the chopper, upgraded it, and pressed it into their own service for ground support, wearing the infamous Scaly Lizard camo. This is part one of four, of Project Hind-a-mania. Pictures!







She started life as the Hasegawa Hind-A, the interior was additionally improved with stuff from a dead Hind D from Italeri - interior, front and back walls, some extras in the cockpit, and the undernose electronics, as well as the disco lamp up top on the fuselage.

Thanks, Nektarios - she was an exhausting and time consuming paintjob, but it certainly pays off to see the finished look. I've been cranking along on her.

Yes you guessed correctly it is Russian.

Is there any logic as to why the Russians use bright red for their decks? They've gotta stick out like sore thumbs from the air. They might as well do away with gray altogether and paint there hulls pink and purple

I concur!!

it's not as red as it seems, and half the time their combat vessels, the weather deck is a darker colour anyways, like a black-green almost. The colour's from the nonskid coating, almost makes me think of... a running track the colour of it.

The red colour on the decks of the Soviet/Russian navy ships is a tradition from the days of the Tzarist navy.

I decided to build the ship as Russian and as not as Soviet. This means that the deck is painted all red.

Very good, this is I, but has not done.

I still say the red deck reminds me of a running track... It's about the same shade.
