I want them to do SMS Moltke, but I think I might be pretty happy with Hood!

I'm very tempted by their Invincible too.

Some years they have CAD "drawings" of ships that are to be released. One would think that it should indicate that the ships is soon to be released since they have taken the time to make a CAD drawing. But then the ship disapears and something else appears that is released instead. I think it is odd.
I can't understand it either. We all know that they are not going to release even half of the kits listed as "2021 catalogue", so I don't really see the point of such uncertain lists.

Also, does it mean that Dresden and Emden were cancelled? :cry_3:

Revell Germany is releasing a limited edition 1/700 "Hood vs. Bismarck" set. The box art shows Hood in what looks like her 1930's fit. Wonder if that's a new tool of Hood or a re-pop of the Italeri 1/720?

Same box art as the centenary gift set from a couple of years ago. Safe to say it'll be the 720 one, sadly.

Meng Models will be releasing their version of the Shandong in 1/700. No release date given. From what I've seen of the pics elsewhere, it's along the same lines as their earlier releases for the Lexington (CV-2), Rodney & Bismarck.

And one can find images of the kit's CAD in my link in the first post - just updated a day or so ago!

We've finalized the details for the second variant of the Colossus class, HMS Triumph in 1946. This injected-plastic kit will feature alternate parts for the enclosed bridge, a stern flight deck walkway, a relocated YE antenna off the mast and to the funnel, and some changes in the AA fit as well as directors.

Also, the kit will include Seafire and Firefly aircraft.

A new decal sheet will feature deck markings for the ship and the BPF markings for the aircraft.

MSRP $TBA. Availability Spring 2021.

And following the TRIUMPH from IHP this Spring/Summer will be HMS GLORY in 1946 fit.

Essentially similar to Colossus with the open bridge and same foremast but with different deck markings and stern walk. Corsairs and Barracudas will be on the flight deck.

A bit of a surprise - Yamashita Hobby will be releasing new tool versions of both the Matsu and Tachibana in May and July:

I really thought they would have expanded on the Mutsuki releases.

Those are quite the handsome ships!

On a similar vein, Fine Molds is releasing another 1/350 derivative of their Fubuki: this time, the lucky Ushio in late war, ETA July: https://www.finemolds.co.jp/FW/FW3.html
