ROY, I like to do them as they were, are you going to do independant control on each motor, this will help with the steering, :wave_1: :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Slaters plastic numbers ,there slightly raised, if you repaint the hull you paint over them and then sand off the paint and you are left with a white number again. :jump_1: :jump_1: :woo_hoo: :thumbs_up_1:

Ron,

When alongside how is she secured, by some kind of magnetic force perhaps? This seems to be the case also when she is at anchor. Amazing what these Yanks developed at that period of the war aint.

As ever,

Hi Ron :wave_1:
only one motor so dont have to cross that problem, i'm not joking when i say this electric stuff baffles the hell out of me. Ever since i can remember iv'e had to ware cotton when messing with electrics, big and i mean big static shocks :lol_3: over the years have made me very wary of all electrical items. Hence i have tended to avoid gaining any knowledge on said matters. Time to go back to school i guess

Smaller than Moffett

Not as small as Bryony

They once sailed together in 1943. :jump_1: :jump_1: :woo_hoo: :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Well scousegit, I painted 10 cleats ready for going on the model on easter monday, I have got to build 6 bollards before sunday the 15th, the model will not be fully finished, but 98%.

Then I can have a rest from building for awhile :jump_1: :jump_1: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :lol_spit_1: :lol_spit_1: :lol_spit_1: :lol_spit_1:

Hi Guys, I have done a little work on the model over the Easter period.

I made the anchor out of a thick piece of plastic and put a brass rod through the fluke and into the hull.

Image

The numbers were put on the stern also the name, this was painted blue so it does not stand out.

Image

The second anchor was fitted, a small amout of rusting applied.

Image

Same as Port side, a little weathering applied on the dark blue.

Ron,

The 15th approaches with alarming rapidity. Be you ready Jim Lad? Be you ready to commit thy pride an' joy to the 'deep'?

A long rang weather forecast this a.m. did not look too promising but you never know with this country it rains, snows, freezes and has high temperatures in a morning....or is that me? I'm hoping for foine weather moizelf for Oi want to be tryin' moi R-Boot with the new motors. The bath trials were pretty good, but not conclusive, so beware.

'Muppet' gets better every time I see it by the way.

Hi Guys, Not wanting to look an idiot on sunday, I have had secret trials at our lake this evening, it was difficult to control the model and take photo,s on ones own, the pics dont look to bad, had to keep speed down because of lots of flotsum on the water.
Trials went o/k, speed 10/10 , rudder control very good but needs slight adjustment, pitching and rolling 0 very stable on the water and in turns.

We seem to be ready for sunday, Official Launch Day. :jump_1: :jump_1: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :thumbs_up_1:
