Here are two models from the same kit; the Corsair Armada USS Garcia DE-1040 kit. Now I need to get another kit to make the USS Glover FF-1098.

I hope that in my next life i will remember only this. Not to become a doctor. I have no time to build thw kits i am buying. The unbuilt kits i have are more than 100. Several of them are aircraft carriers ( CV-67, CVA-11, CV-31, CV-34, CV-36,CVS-37, CVA-59, CV-60 CVN-77 ), landing ships ( converted Essex class, Tarawa class, Wasp class ) battleships ( Iowa class ), battlecruisers ( Kirov class ), cruisers ( Slava class ), and several classes of destroyers and frigates including ships of more than a dozen navies. I wiil start building these when i ll have more time (retirement).

As for your "warning" not to build the Glover before you do. My fleet which is more than 800 strong including 370 USN ships will crush you if you dare to attack. A couple of carrier battlegroups plus some additional assets ( Oscar class submarines ) will be enough.

My wife have just delivered my fourth son, and my Jorge Juan is dusting uncompleted.

No, hehe, just kidding. Wife and Children are great, but they reduce modelling time for sure!

Us navy carrier deck/hull/underwater hull colour codes. Does anybody know them?
I got a friend who needs it, and i had a colour code sheet somewhere. But i lost it!

Another fantastic model Sparrow. I love all postwar converted (more or less) WWII warships. I have to complete the 600 ship fleet i am constructing in order to start with the postwar fleet.

Yeah. Great indeed. When I first saw Mr. Nikos Kommnatas work, in Pit-Road�s website gallery I felt really inspired.
And I have ever since adopted the plan to build a similar diorama... only that it will have to wait till I buy a bigger house.

It is but i guess that if the pics were black and white then it would be impossible to tell if it was a real ship or a model.

May I ask how you made the Mk-25 radar on the Mk-37 director and the radars on the amidships 3"/50s?

Cliffy B, I got the Mk 25 from an extra sprue carried by the Skywave USS Callaghan. I think it was intended to represent a japanese post-war Fletcher, and includeed different bridge layouts, a weapon alpha and some extra radars, including the Mk 25.

The "dishes" on the 3 inchers are from the spare parts box. I really cannot tell from what kit, but they are mere small dishes. I gess you could make them out of plasticard without trouble.

Modified HMS Albion. More than 50 parts were added in order to improve the looks of the ship.
This is one of my friends best looking models.

Damm i got to leave this house and live on my own. Then i can build an entire room of this junk
