Great work!
It's hard to fight my near-uncontrollable urge to sink them, however.

I don't know if there's anything specific set up for display, but I believe you could put it on the contest table with a sign that says "Not in Contest".

I'll think about it.
Thx, Jason. I'll try to post some more a little later, if time allows.

I added the bridge facing and siding in small increments. I also switched to the most comparable kit facing at the end.

Your bridge came out really good Dan!

I am going to start mine on my scratch built Akagisan Maru and will use your work as a guide.

Looking forward to more of your progress.
Bob Pink.

Thank you. I added some of the major facing supports, along with some window framing for the upper deck, running light assemblies, etc. A little more putty used to fill in some cracks.

Very nice work.
When are you going to bite the bullet and do your first entirely scratch-built model?

Lotto win? The tiny ships you build wouldn't need more than $10 worth of styrene!

Thx, Martin. Truthfully, I was initially very happy, and proud of how the bridge turned out. Those support pillars are barely 2mm high and took an inordinate amount of time to place and glue. But, closer examination from certain angles left me uneasy. It seems that, despite my best efforts, I somehow misaligned the port wing ever so slightly. Doing so left some of the of the support pillars slightly askew. It began to bother me immensely.

So, I reworked what I could by some selective sanding, adding some styrene strip, and also reworking the lower corner apertures on the facing. It was a little better, save for one of the posts one deck down. I would have to correct that.

Thx, guys. Joe, I'd like to think that at least one would make it. That's the plan, anyway.
