I took this message from another thread here. If mods do not object I propose to have it in this thread also. It made me laugh for more than 5 minutes (still lauching) I hope others will enjoy also:

Oh for god's SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just build the friggen thing and be happy that you actually have one, flawed or not. So they screwed the pooch on the erroneous grid lines, so the deck planks are not 0.3mm wide. What's next, the lenses on the spotting binoculars aren't 0.28mm as they should be? Give me a break. You people that anonymously nit pick every single detail in everything need a reality check. Better yet, start your own company and start producing 100% accurate kits without a single flaw and show the rest of us how it's done. That'll be the day.
Finally I saw a sober opinion I have myself but am not a respected modeller yet (hope to become ) to express one.

While I wholeheartedly agree with Chris, I purposely left that behind, as it didn't add anything to the discussion of Nagato and Mutus themselves.
However, it can stay for now. Well...it can stay as long as Chuck behaves himself.

Aww sad. Ok here is something that does add to the discussion . Fleetnet in Japan is now stocking the new Veteran Models IJN twin 5" HA guns. They come in sets of 4 for about $17 and will go a long ways to making the weapons of Nagato (or the Aoshima Takaos and forthcoming Fujimi Kongo look even better). Mr. Funayama of Fleetnet is very good at english so ordering is no problem. Here are some photos from Fleetnet:

Their english website is very basic at the moment but I don't recall the URL for it. Their email is info@fleetnet.jp , like I said before Mr. Funayama speaks english so no language barrier there.
Outstanding job on that deck Marko , BTW if I'm not mistaken Bill Grunner told me he was going to get all these IJN accessories from Veteran models too. those 5" look fantastic, it's amazingly detailed, you can even see the binoculars through the shielding

Uhm, sorry, I'm not familiar with the most of specialized shops for ships, didn't hear for Mr. Grunner but found the site.
Looks like I'll be ordering from them soon
I've also found on fleetne masks for deck. They might be usefula. Anyone knows more about them? Again, is there anywhere else I can buy these mask, it would save me a lot of time.
Well we finally got our Nagato kits in the shop and after a cursory glance over it...wow. Very nice. One thing that I noticed were there are lots of unused single and triple 25mm AA mounts. I'll have to check the rest of the parts more closely and compare it to the AJ Press books but everything you need for a 1944 nagato *may* be included in the kit.

Chrisc now that you mentioned it, did you get to see those AA platforms that go over turrets #b&c?

Hi Jose,
I didn't notice any platforms. I think what happened was the kit comes with 4 identical "weapon" sprues that include triple and single AA guns for a later boxing of the kit to possibly be released someday. Any other additional parts such as radars, platforms, stuff like that will be on another separate sprue just for that kit. The only other unused parts listed in the parts manual are little fittings here and there that may be for a later Nagato or the presumed boxing of Mutsu.
