Brilliant I never thought of using a compass cutter the way you use it for elliptical shaps. That one will be added to my memory banks. Your model techniques are first rate and you are certainly a master in styrene work. Question which drawing are you working from?

What is the scale of your KGV? What did you use for the gratings around the front of the armoured con ? Are they styrene or PE? Great Job

Hi Dave..
the KGV is 1:160 scale anda is scratchbuilt too - hull wood and styrene superst. and brass(masts and another parts).
stanchions are made germany by KRICK.
Well about the gratings are made in wood from Cornwell model boats - UK and adapting for my presumed size(i never see in any drawing about this subject:grating)
these gratings are very well made.

Hi Dave, the KGV is in 1:160 scale and are made of hood hull - styrene superstructure and brass(masts and other parts).
the kgv is in the shipyard to receive a rust in the hull but i don't having time cause the Bismarck
the gratings used in Bismarck are made in UK by Cornwall model boats - the gratings are fine but need cut to adapting your size.
unfortunately the small size are 1mm and for scale is the smallest size who having to use. but is fine grating. and easy to cut and mount.
too is a hard wood.
Regards
