Morning 'Youngish' Ron (I can't say much as you claim to be only 3.5 yrs. older than me),
Just looking again you understand. I must say that you appear to have 'gone overboard' with the brass on this one. Am I right in thinking that it looks like shim brass and won't be too heavy? I do like it (her) ans she should look good on the 'watter'.
You put me to shame.

Hi Guys, Some more work on the mast,

I have put in the yardarm, made from brass tub, one slid in side the other to show a taper, the support is copper wire.

Next I made the platform for the search light, and soldiered in the stantions and rails, the radar platform was soldiered on as were the brackets for the lamps.

The crows nest came off my flower, :heh: :heh:

Hand rails and stantions fitted to open area behind open bridge, these are Billings Boats fittings, also the vertical ladder and handrail was fitted.

The Bryony is 1/32 scale Jim,

I have an old Bluebell on the shelf in my shed/ drydock. I take odd parts at times. :heh: :heh: :thumbs_up_1:

Hey Ron,

long time no see, I've been at sea since July, managed to get the whole way around Africa this time. The ship is looking great, love the details on the mast. I have a couple commission builds I need to have done for the end of January so I am pretty excited about that, what is better than having someone finance your hobby lol. I've got 2 submarines, 2 Canadian frigates and a 1/100 74 ship of the line to build, so I'll be busy for a while. Keep in touch and keep up the good work.

Thanks Paul, all the best to you, enjoy your builds, that was a long trip, built nearly half a ship in that time, how was the Cape Horn and the Bay of Bisca, :heh: :heh:

Hi Jimmy, All soldiered except for the short piece of alloy near the crows nest, I had no brass for that step down, super glued this section. :heh: :heh:
