But still the boat davit shall fold on the scupper pipe, but that might be the case for that particular boat davit.

I think so. That's what the Miyukikai drawing suggests.

Re: Calling all IJN Kongo class fans
Thanks guys for the answers, but I decide to keep the boat davit unfolded. The rest boat davits will be folded.

Re: Calling all IJN Kongo class fans
It's a garbage disposal chute.
The davits arm can fold for convenient storage, but they are also easily removed. They are attached By two pins to the a set of pivot permanently fixed to the hull side. Each of the pins can be removed. When both pins are in place, the davit arm is held upright. When either pin is out, the Davit can fold down. When both pins are out, the davit arm comes off.
I wouldn't be surprised if this davit arm is removed and stowed flat on deck.

A nice drawing of Battleship 39, a preliminary design for IJN Kongo class, dated October 1910, 101 year old:

Atma!
Have Fujimi plans to come out with IJN Kirishima (full hull - scale 1:700) on the market, and when?
One who dig Fujimi full-hull

Is just the waterline plate replaced by a full hull+full propellers equipment, everything else is the same.

Hello,
With the appearance of the Nagato in 1933 fit, the number of pre-reconstruction Japanese battleships are growing. Can we have any chance to see a 1914, or at least a 1920's version of the Kongo class ? Are there any plans or rumors about it ?
