It is girls Hairband:
This is what I am using , it also can be found as ribbon for gift wrapping etc. It is quite good because it will give a bit and you can tension it without bending masts and things. :cool_2:

here on my USS England

Edit cause of the nature and shape of the camouflage it will be a fun challenge to paint it correctly.

hi all , I was just checking out my Fujimi Kongo and I noticed that the brass main gun barrels supplied by Fujimi are different in length to the ones in my flyhawk set ? which is most correct ? any help would be very helpful :wave_1:

Thanks for the reply, I just checked, the blast bags are shown as the mounting method in the Flyhawke instructions so still not sure . I think if i had a plan to measure off I could check that way .

Maybe this can help you, it gives length without blast bags.

Hello Phil,

No. Only 2 Mitsubishi F1M2 "Pete" were aboard for A-GO (Marianas) and SHO-GO (Leyte). 1 Aichi E13A1 was supposed to be embarked but wasn't due to shortage of aircraft and pilots.

In some Japanese sources they mention that actually only 1 Mitsubishi F1M2 "Pete" were aboard for Plan A-Go and 2 for Plan Sho-Go.

Atma,

I don't know what your Japanese sources are. However, I can tell you all mine state that 2 F1M2 were aboard Kongo for A-Go. As a sidenote, both were lost during the battle due to "rough" landings.

A summer release from Fujimi in advance, in 1/700:

But plans can fall through as so often they do(Like the abandoned KGV class project).

Looking at getting the Fujimi kit for Haruna. But would it be easier to back date her to '42 or just build the Kirishima kit from Aoshima as the Haruna?

Ultimately I am trying to build both Haruna and Kirishima for Midway configurations.

If the Haruna is the better buy for me what mods do I need to do for her?
