Well Guys, What a glorious day, and a nice turn out from the members, the sun shone all day, we had a stiffish breeze but it did not affect the models stability, I did have a problem with the rudder at the very begining, where Moffett wanted to do her own thing, after a good work over she began to do as she was commanded.
Thanks to every one that took part, and Dave for taking the photo,s. ARH :jump_1: :jump_1: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Oh, I am a bit deceived. Not a picture of her actually dropping depth charges, or firing on the pirates

Serious, congrats Ron. Beautiful model, perfectly executed as the way she sails very well speaks out.

Pachi.

Another work of working art Admiral, ace stuff!
Ok, Middlewatch - we set up a club for glacial builders. Ron's built one-and-a-half lovely ships to my two-fifths. I make it that he's nearly four times faster than me!

Ron, the Moffet looks gorgeous - and what a difference the weather makes, compared to the 'Duke's first outing.

Well done! :wave_1:

Hi Ron :wave_1:
what glorious weather you had for launching the Moffet, hope you had a fantastic day :lol_spit_1:
what lock gates are in the back ground, i know by the construction its Trent & Mersey it's the building behind that is driving me nuts i,ve been there but cant place it. I've got the T & M one side of me and the Caldon canal the other side lots of old buildings some thankfully have been restored

Thanks Greg, like I said there was a stiffish breeze as can be seen by the ripples on the water, we were all surpised by how stable she was, some of the photo,s were there is a lean , she is in a turn, we did try some fast turns and she only had a very slight list like a Porter class would have.

I think we could take out the 2lb of lead ballast and trim her a little higher in the water. :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Nice photo Dave, you make me look younger still, would you believe the guy in the back ground, Alan Brooks is 70 years old, and not a grey hair in his head, must be something to do with modelship building. :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :wave_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Tell you what Andy, what about introducing a Golf type handicap system? Let's see, at current production rate Admiral needs to spot me a full carrier task group with a battleship screen, then maybe I stand a chance of getting in on the game!

Seriously though, she looks great, went back over the build from day one and what a pleasure to see the tin can rise up.
