Those Trumpeter releases are in the new catalogue, the interesting one the 1/700 HMS Queen Elizabeth carrier now has a box art image instead of a stock photo, so hopefully a release in the next 12 months.

Re: *Inj. molded plastic* Upcoming Ship Kit Releases
According to a recent posting at Youtube by Scale Modeler, some more info regarding future releases, such as a collection from ICM of battleships from the Hight Seas Fleet. Looks like the O-Class Battlecruiser and H-Class Battleship will be waterline only while the 2 Midway configurations will be full-hull. All 4 models will be in 1/700. So maybe, just maybe, Trumpeter might be responding to comments about their decision to only offer waterline for that scale.

my dream is to have a 1/350 Late or early 60s USS Midway or FDR / Coral SeaTrumpeter usually releases the 1/350 version of their ships before the 1/700. Hopefully they have a 350 late Midway in the works but seems odd they would release the 700 version first.

A few days late, but the VF Takao appears to be ready for release. Just waiting for it to appear on a site or three...
The degaussing cable is molded on, and the hull plating shows some butt ends.

And, in other news, Border Models appears to venturing into 1/350 as well. Due in March, a 1/350 Mutsuki class DD (pretty sure it's an injection mold): https://tieba.baidu.com/p/9438919913

I think this one is a resin kit. I found this on a FB pageDan K wrote:Yeah, me, too.Look forward to seeing the reviews on Takao and the prices![]()

Our 1/350 IJN destroyer Mutsuki, hopefully to be release at the end of this year. This product is divided into two versions, one is the normal version contain resin ship hull and 3D print parts, while refining the details in order to let beginners better experience ship model making process and saving time.and other is deluxe version, contains PE and metal parts, let advanced modellers can assemble more realistic models.

Hmm. I wish it were styrene injection. I'm just not a fan of resin.
If true, I wonder if Border purchased the molds for the A B & K 1/350 resin Mutsuki that was released almost tow years ago. Very pricey.

More information was posted this morning and yes (sadly), it appears to be a resin hull and 3D printed parts. Interestingly, it is now listed as a Triumph model, not Border. Release at the end of March.
This should probably be transferred over to the Resin list of upcoming releases.

Just had a look, looks a nice kit but no mention of the bridge? The Ironclad / Aoshima kits have nasty seams on the lower
Section, well nasty for me! Also wish they would do the funnels in one moulded piece

The same guy has posted a update, partially making the new kit. However he does not have all the parts.
Compared to the Aoshima Takao he is building it looks a big improvement. Delighted to see Very Fires bridge design is much better.
Just sold my Aoshima kit and ordering the Very fire Dx kit instead

I agree about the new Takao. I'm impressed by what I see so far. Eliminating the hull bulge joints as well as the sidewall joint above it is a big deal. And those turrets are beautiful; no aftermarket PE required for those.
Figures. I have a 1/4 built Aoshima Takao on the ways. Waterlined and linoleum tie-downs stripped. Sigh.

1/350 USS Smith DD-17. Appears to be inject hull but 3D printed smaller bits and turned brass.
