Yeah, great dios ideas, but I'm a bit lazzy at that time. You remember I ordered a ch-53E ? I ordered a ch-53G and want to convert it into a Pave Low III, and the other night I was on ebay and found a US Customs Blackhawk. I don't know what's wrong with me and choppers at that time. Yes I like ships, but I like choppers too, although it's unsafe to fly a chopper !

But back to ship modeling, I'm working on my deck vehicles, I'll use another thread in the scratchbuilding forum soon. I've been doing calculations for the A/S32P-25 (the P-25 to be short), and it will be seven millimeters long (0.25 inches). It's amazing how small it is when I see it.
(my exams will be over by thursday, and it will give me more free time ! )

My first castings will be the P-25 and the tow mules, but more vehicles will follow after. (really I was amazed by how many different vehicles you find on a carrier)

Here are some photos of CV-62 as it appeared in 1998 just before decomissioning. Some antennas were added on the mast and John (kidcurrie42) convinced me to correct the shape of the funnel.

I started a thread in the scratchbuilding section. One P-25 is already started, the carving is 60% finished. I need to detail the wheels.

Yes Tom and Pere its the old Italeri kit but improved. A hangar deck was added and more than 100 additional parts were used.

Look at the photos below.Some of the work inside the hangar can be seen.I also added a closeup photo of the island.

I forgot to mention that John is building all 4 of the Forrestal class and he's doing a superb job on all 4 of them.

I ll post the second and last part of the Indy photos tomorrow.

The Italeri kit was a good one, although it needs a lot of work to look like yours Nektarios. I rememmber it pretty well as it was the first carrier I built, when I was 9 years old. (many layers of paint were applied ! )

Thank you Tom. Its true the Italeri Forrestal is the best of the Italeri carrier kits.For its time it was a good kit but it needs lots of work to come close to todays standards.

I have just received today the PE set for the Kilauea class AE for the Ships and Co kit . I hope to be able to finish it this weekend or early next week and post pics.

Your building speed still amazes me Nektarios.

No updates for my tractors this week-end, my left thumb met a sharp blade yesterday, and as I'm left handed..... , it needs some rest !
(I've found another photo for the Oshkosh MB-5, and will make it in plaster too)
