Ok.

Whats going on now? Someone had some nasty things to say?

Atleast let me say a few things (positive) then:

Admiral, your rudder stuffing box work around for the Iron Duke is brillant. I wish I could have thought about that. Another thing is the use of litho plate. If you didn't show us the way to use this light plyable aluminum chances are we would still be using evergreen. Don't forget about the economical use of lego blocks to make a molding box. Auto body filler to fair hulls in. I toyed around with that idea for a few years while working on submarine models but wasn't very sure if it would work on till seeing you use it. Now think about Geoff's Marlborough. Because of the Duke he chose to tackle this project and made amazing progress on it.

In short if you never put up another posted build were would the rest of us find inspiration? Were would all the home made solutions come from? Your being here helps others think outside of the box and come up with cheap solutions.

I just spent an ungodly amount of money setting up a home shop to build model ships for myself.........why? Because your posts have boosted my interest in this hobby to an almost 24/7 obsession.

heretic!

you dont know who Bob Vila is?!

Thats it, title renounced! And i'm putting you under investigation.

First you refuse to continue your shipbuilding, then you trample on the honors of the Grand Wizard ..... i'm beginning to think you're hiding a secret wingy thingy operation!

no, i'm saying your a heretic and if you dont post a shipbuild you'll be lucky to escape being burnt at the stake.

by calling you bob vila i was calling you a master builder, the chief of know-how .... obviously you must have kidnapped the real master builder as a diversion to gain power with your wingy thingy operations...

Ron I think Kenny is "a little" excited by the new Harry Potter book. Bob Vila is a cool guy who home improvement (restoration) shows and is very very good at what he does. like you!!

Nope, i could care less for the new Harry Potter .... in fact someone gave me a copy thats been sitting on my desk at home since it came out and its just collecting dust.

I assume you gain that from the title i have, actually a few guys from here gave it to me... cant quite remember who tho.

:thumbs_up_1: I'm glad to come back and see some humor thrown in. As for the builds now I will have to say yes, they are good. Hopefully I can add in something using my new vodoo thats cost me a :censored_2: ton. Now in closing Admiral, your the kind that thinks around, through, and over problems to come up with a cost effective creative solution. So to say that you will "try to come up with new idea's if possible" doesn't make sense. This is your niche and always will be. The amount of knowledge you bring forth is great. Unlike other hobbies were those that know keep everything secret or simply do not care to spend a moment with someone to pass it on you do. If I could mail a high chair and get you to sit in it I would......................ok I'm done.

Ron,
Whoa! I'm not reading this right am I? You are packing in the scratchbuilding threads on the site because of some extremely small minded morons make their peurile comments? As has been said, those kind of feeble minded comments from that type of idiot proves that they are only jealous of your skills and ability to use your hands and BRAIN to produce a large, damn good, sailing model of a warship.

Take no notice and treat them with the contempt they deserve. Carry on with your instructive, concise and clear builds.

Yeah.
Ron, 95% of the guys here followed your builds with a huge interest and learned alot by that. If the remaining 5% dont want to read and dont like it - noone forces them...
