Last of the FRAM II D-211 photos.

Here are some photos of my friend's Yiannis Karystinos works. His work is so much detailed that i do not have to comment it.









He ll post more photos of his work in the near future.

What do you mean you do not need to comment, Comments like Awesome, Superb are a few that come to mind.
Your friend Yiannis is obviously very heavily modifying a kombrig Kresta II, it is looking like the real ship was, heavily armed, and so full of electronics and other clutter,

Bravo Zulu Yiannis, i hope you will post or let Nektarios post more of your work.

Can t wait to see your Kuznetsov finished.

Here are some photos of a couple of what-if Super Spruances.I used the Fujimi Spruance kits because they represent the spruances in their most modern configuration (widened hangar,maintenance enclosures for Phallanx etc.). I added the AEMSS stealth mast from the DML DDG-968 kit, 2 Mk-45 mod4, a Mk-48 VLS in place of Mk-29, 2 RAM launchers from JAG, plus some additional antennas.and electronics.

Have you ever seen a moroccan ship in 1/700?.

Well, here is my Lt Col Errhamani, a Descubierta Class light frigate built in Spain for our southern neighbours.

I scratchbuilt this little corvette as a test for my Cazadora. She was build out of card with skywave fittings and generic railings. Cazadora was made of Evergreen sheet.

Did you make the hull out of a block? How did you make the funnels? What is your opinion on the Skywave details set?
Also, where did you find Exocet launchers?

If I may make a suggestion you should you photo-etched radars your ships would look even better!

No, both vessels are "plank on frame".

How did you make the funnels?

They are hollow. Simply cut a profile of the funnels, adding the necessary "depth" on both sides, then folded inwards fore and aft to meet their simetric parts and glued in place. The process took some try and error, but ended up quite nicely. I don�t have pictures rigth here, but if I find them I�ll post.

What is your opinion on the Skywave details set?
Also, where did you find Exocet launchers?

I love them. Perhaps somewhat overscaled, but very nice and an enormous work-saver for the scrathbuilder. The exocet launchers are Skywave�s as well.

If I may make a suggestion you should you photo-etched radars your ships would look even better!

Oh, I wish I had!, but I completed this ships time ago when my experience with PE was very little (in fact they were my first examples of use of PE railing)
I intend to refit them sometime in the future to enhance them, and PE radars is first priority, as are some inclined ladders and new rigging and railing, but the building schedule is tight and the stash doesn�t seem to reduce it�s growing rate, hehe.
