Happy to announce the release of a 1/32 scale cockpit and TR.1133 radio for a late-war Beaufighter Mk.VI / TF Mk.X, some affectionately refer to as the "Torbeau". This cockpit differs from the recently released Beaufighter Mk.IF / Mk.II cockpit in instrumentation, radio type and radio rack configuration. Not seen here are the other parts of the kit including instrument panel, seat, control column, etc.

Happy to announce 1/25 scale 88mm ammunition is now available for your classic Tamiya Tiger I kit. The set is also available in 1/35 and 1/16 scales.

This set of�12 models represents the German World War Two-era 88 x 571R millimeter armor-piercing, capped "Panzergranate 39" ammunition�fired by Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I heavy tanks mounting the feared 88mm KwK 36 L/56 cannon.�

A cannon barrel, Maybach motor, upper fuel tanks, radiators, fans and ducts are also available, in 1/25 and 1/35 scales.�

Model Monkey is pleased to announce hollow exhausts for Spitfires, Seafires, Hurricanes and Sea Hurricanes in 1/24 scale and 1/32 scale have been added to the catalog. The exhausts are early Merlin engine "orange slice"-type, appropriate for Spitfire Mk. I, Mk.II, Mk.V and Mk.VI; Seafire Mk.Ib; and Hurricanes and Sea Hurricanes Mk. I, Mk. II and Mk.XII. The exhausts are 3D-printed in gray resin.

K-14 gunsights for P-51 Mustangs, P-47 Thunderbolts, F6F Hellcats and F4U Corsairs are also available in 1/32 and 1/24 scales. The K-14 was known as the Mk.18 gunsight in USN and USMC service.

Great question. Generally, no more UV light treatment is necessary. Gray resin models are placed in a hot UV light booth for final curing before they are shipped to customers.

Many 3D-printers are deliberately set to under-cure the model during printing. This is necessary in order to leave enough uncured resin present in each layer so that the layers will bond to each other. If the printer was set to fully cure each layer as it was being printed, the layers would not bond to each other and the model would de-laminate. This is why further curing is needed once the model comes out of the printer, to cure any remaining resin and make all of the resin rigid and strong.

This post-printing curing is called "post-curing". All Model Monkey gray resin products are post-cured before they ship.

A fully post-cured gray resin model is ready for paint, including enamels.

If you find a spot on the model that feels a bit sticky, that is probably some printing residue I missed before shipping. It can be cleaned away with common, household isopropyl "rubbing" alcohol.

I just received my gray resin Arizona parts today...a vast improvement over the previous Shapeways product (I have the original parts so were able to compare them. No more tire tread, or tread-plate, texture covering parts of the pieces)! Lots of little support columns to clip off, but a small price to pay for a better product. They also seem to be finer printed!

For fans of the classic Hasegawa�1/32 scale Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb (Seafire Mk.Ib and IIc), a more accurate and better detailed spinner has been added to the catalog. It is intended as a direct replacement for 1/32 scale Hasegawa kits' spinner parts.

This 3D-printed spinner features an accurate shape, raised fairings on the front edge of the propeller blade apertures, attach/detach slot-connector, and spot-weld detail.

Happy to announce two different 1/350 scale bridges for USS Missouri BB-63 have been added to the catalog. One model represents the ships' 1944 shakedown cruise appearance and the other her 1945 appearance. The 1945 bridge has platforms for Mk.57 directors. The 1944 bridge does not.

The 3-part models come in two offerings each: one design specifically for the Tamiya 1/350 scale kit, and the second design for kits made by manufacturers other than Tamiya, such as the new Very Fire Technologies kit. The photos below show the 1945 and 1944 bridges for Tamiya.

The models are also available in 1/700 scale and can be made available in other popular scales upon request.
