Some photos of mr Maurizio Chiaro s build of CVA-42 He modified the ship from its 1957 fit to 1971 fit.

nice build especially the aircraft look very good

After seeing mr.Maurizio Chiaro s work i was motivated to start building the CVW-6 1972 airwing. Here are a couple of photos of the SH-3s. If lo-viz aircraft look great after the application of Starfighter decals Hi-viz aircraft look ten times better. This is my first hi-viz airwing and certainly not the last.

Nektarios - great stuff - you gotta love those Starfighter Decals! I used them on my Nimitz build and the planes really stand out - I'm very happy with Mark's work.

Wow, I would like that in 1/350.

I think that Starfighter Decals gave me new interest in making carriers. I was determined to build around 20 carriers ( all postwar constructed U.S.N. vessels ) but now with Starfighter Decals i will make even more. I can t find enough good words to express my admiration about Mark s work.

We re very lucky to have John in this message board. Not only he s a great model builder (and scratchbuilder as well) but he posts unique pics of carriers and other ships.

John may have photos of HMS Illustrious since he is a Falklands war veteran.

Some photos of CVW-5 1991 which were on CV-41 during DS.

First the HS-12 Wyverns SH-3Hs.













I hope that by tomorrow i ll finish the VAQ-136 Gauntlets EA-6Bs and post photos.
