I noticed on some ships, they have the Tilly crane painted white and in some cases its yellow, is there any reason behind this? (just a general question ) :D

I would guess that the powers that be decided a yellow crane is more visible at sea than a white one, not sure when they switched. Mid 90's I think.

Thanks, guys. A final revision - with glass and exhaust pipe. And, as a bonus - comparison to the kit's one (hehe).

A cuestion:

North American A-5 Vigilante, was deployed aboard Uss Nitmiz?. Not sure, but I think it was decommissioned after the war in Vietnam.
On workbench:
Uss Essex CV-9 - 1/700 Dragon Models
JMSDF Murasame 1/350 Trumpeter
F 86 Canarias

and more, more, more

I believe Vigilantes last operated in 1978 on board the Nimitz

HI Max!

Sorry I am slow to respond, but nevertheless: Nice work on the crane! Tricky to build, eh? You had the patience to glue the lifeboat-canisters on there individually??? I think if a psychologist would see our work, he would have a field-day (week) with most of us.... here is another level of crazy.

Coming along nicely!! :thumbs_up_1:

Cheers: Laci
