I bought 1/700 resin IJN sandbags, but had a difficult time positioning them about on the superstructure. Part of the reason was their fixed curvature mold. After a visit from an Arts and Crafts store, I ended up finding something that unusually worked - elastic cord beads! I'll use the resin sandbags on the deck. Need to apply black wash and dull coating.

slightly more progress... finished the flags, and started sandbags on deck.

Added balconies to the superstructure - those lil' guys took almost 3 hours to build and fit.
