Re: Calling All Japanese Merchant Marine Fans
I'm still waiting for a listing; not seen one as of yet.
MY NY#10 is enroute. I believe Motoyuki-san has done one of his build articles on the 1/700 Akizuki DD kits.

Re: Calling All Japanese Merchant Marine Fans
Hi Dan:
I got my NY 10 in the mail yesterday along with the Aoshima 1944 Oyodo. What a nice kit. Light years above the old Fujimi one.
The NY 10 is a good issue as are all the others. I just wish there was more english translations of all the build processes in the magazine.
Bob Pink.

Hello everyone,
Tashiro Iwashige had just finished all work except to final check for The visual guide of Japanese wartime merchant marine. Since he wrote all English text last, now alphabet letters are giving a carnival in his head
. He will bring cover image and ISBN code here in a week. The book will issue by the end of April.
Gilbert san,
Very thanks to refer to the article
. The text is in fact a summary of the second chapter a viewpoint effect. The first, Auxiliary vessels is based on a part of new book and describes a background of modern Japanese auxiliary vessels;
In Japan relations between modern shipping and its naval use became closer toward the Pacific war. Though performance of auxiliary vessels was insufficient by the time, they assumed an important part in the Pacific war; number.
Mr. Ueda painted new work of Yasukuni maru for new book, incorporating dazzle pattern camouflage.
Bob san,
I hope that NAVY YARD will be able to handle many model photo of readers contribution like this great website
.
Dan san,
Eventually I am looking forward to Fujimis great dicision
.

Re: Calling All Japanese Merchant Marine Fans
Dear Motoyuki-san and Gilbert, I've just discovered our original thread on pre-war and wartime Japanese merchant ships has disappeared from the forum, including all our photographs! Apparently this because the thread had been inactive for 60 days!
What should we do? I've got some new pictures to add, so should I re-post them into this thread?
All best wishes,
Terry (Caravellarella)

Re: Calling All Japanese Merchant Marine Fans
Hello everyone,
Terry san,
Thank you very much again for fine pictures. One of them Kiyokawa maru seems to be post-war photo judging from 2nd post portal and small mast on the bridge. I met the survivor of the ship in last November.
Jim san,
Thank you for introducing Robert Wilson sans works. Very fantastic, smart and elegant!
