Udate,
Been working on the gallery deck level. The small room off the rounded opening is the crew shelter.

More Progress,
Made up the Foamite Generating Station. The space is only 4' x4' so I had to cram everything in. Piping is just a guess, red for foam out, Green for HP water in.
A link as to how it worked:

Work on closing in the gallery deck.
And a dry test fit of the major parts.

Update:
The gallery deck is now mounted to the hull section. First photo is the bottom view. The rest are mounted to the temp base. Next will be the flight decking.
What I'm looking for is a clear photo of the arresting wire sheave, where the cable passes through the deck.
Enjoy

Thank You Alain,
The project is on hold for now. The wife wants a model of 'TITANIC" by the 100th year of her sinking, which is April 14, 2012.
If you care here is a link to that build:

I have until September 22, 2012 to complete the mount. Just doing the #9 40mm mount.

Hi Bob,
I have been enjoying your build and was wondering what was happening, now I know.
Your Titanic is looking excellent.
Looks like you are going to be busy!
Rob.

Hi Everybody,
I'm reviving this build. Originally wanted to be done by September 22, 2012, but can't make it now. Some progress in the photos below.
Photo #1...Overall view showing progress with the flight deck and the start of the catwalks.
Photo #2...View of the catwalk and flight deck with arresting gear, landing light covers, and the yeilding elements, (think of them as truck leaf springs that can be lowered or 'yeild' when hit by a plane). Also the deck stripes.
Photo #3...View aft.
Photo #4...Overall.
What I'm looking for is a drawing, plan, or diagram of a floater net showing the floats. Need to make a whole bunch of them.

There is a better picture of the floats that I just saw, but I can't remember where. I think it was somewhere on this forum but the floater net was not the subject of the photo, as it isn't in this example, but it was closer up to the net.

As you can see, the floats were actually disks bunched together in groups of 5 or 6 and held in place by knots in the manila line.

Russ,
That's a better photo than I have, Thanks. I saw one of a floater net displayed on a wall in a old LIFE magazine. It looked to be about 15 ft. wide and maybe 20 ft. long. The caption said a sailor was on a war bond drive and was visiting the plant where they are made because it had saved his life. Could not save the photo, the site barred saving.
Timm,
Thanks for Your kind words.

Oneslim, delete all your temporary internet files, then go on to that site and open the image. Then go back in to your temporary internet files (there won`t be pages and pages of them because you cleared out all the unwanted stuff), find the JPEG for that image, open it and you can save it.
Regards, Dave.

Dave,
The problem is I don't have the site saved, and now I can't find it. I don't have time to go through all the LIFE magazine pages from WW II.
Thanks

This is a great diorama! I recommend you keep expanding it until you have an entire ship.
