Thanks guys. I've been refining some of the lines and final priming. The temps here have been above 100 degrees for the last two weeks and since I paint outside, it only leaves a small window in the morning. Hope to post some progress soon. Also drawn up part of the flight deck and been looking at a couple of options how to do it.

Not much...got the armor belt on
Trying to work out the anchor hawse. I can't believe that something that is 3/16" in diameter has me scratching my head.

OK, here is a test of the hawsehole (the mounting is a bit rough, but it's just a test). I sunk it into the Trumpeter hull that I attempted to fix. It provides a nice comparison to the representation on the kit hull. My measurements are taken off the dimensioned drawings in the Maryland Silver book. I's say there is quite a difference along with the fact the Trumpeter has located it too high up. The bottom of the actual opening should be at the main deck level. I think the shape looks reasonable.

Nice replacement. The Trumpeter version is grossly over scale.

Thanks Bob,
Here is the completed side of the gallery deck superstructure. The doorway has been opened up and the plating detail engraved.
