Hi

There is no doubt in my mind that with out the encouragement and interest shown by fellow forum members here, this build would have stopped years ago.
This forum has been a very important part of the journey, so thanks to you guys

Hasegawa will most likely have Pete kits; I know they've recently put out a 1/48 scale reissue with decals for heavy cruisers. I actually have (and built) an Alf that came with a 1/72 scale cradle and catapult with a display base for mounting; they offer the same package for the Jake.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I nearly bought that Alf for the Kirishima from hobby co this week, as the Kirishima is going to be the next ship (if I ever get plans), but budget too stretched this month

Now seriously aiming for a late summer commissioning...............

i have begun to detail (yes, the black funnel paint has to be neatened up) next week will be detail painting and the like. few photos to come
