Hi Dave, Im using control line wire , 50lb braking strain, it goes though the stantions very nicely

Email me what your trying to post Ron. There has to be something else going on. The limits on pic size don't seem to be an issue.

doing my first postings on MW for months due to work and home gutting, have just been going over your build very quickly, will give it a more prolonged look when i get the time. The one thing that really strikes me is the sheer elegance of the design a truly beautiful ship. Lovely workmanship as usual

Well guys, I have been trying to post 4 photo,s for days now, for some unknown reason I get a message that they are two big, they are the same size as I normally post, they just will not upload, so we will carry on with out them.

I have finished off the top of the hull at deck level and drilled and fitted the stantions, also run in the cable wire, the hull has had its 4th coat of white and blue.

Furthermore, I can't help asking why don't you publish a book with all the builds you have posted on this forum alongside with the pictures??? Would this be too difficult?? It must have occured to your mind...
Anyway, if you decide to allow us novices the gratitude of your knowledge written in a book, oh Master, than i need ten copies please...

Hi Guys thanks for the posts.

First , its not up to me to make it a STICKY.

As for writting a book, this has been said before, I would love to write a second book, but whose going to publish it, the last one cost �1800-00 for 500 copies, I still have over a hundred left.

All you have to do is down load the text and the pictures from my builds and you can have your own book, Happy modelling. ron h

Looking better and better as you go along. I thought I was a battleship kinda guy but this ship has very elegant lines that I find very appealing. Really a good choice of subject.

Would it be possible, to see a budget for the whole build when it is finished??? Does the cost rise over 1000 pounds???
Wouldn't the cost be much lower if the model was not a r/c working model???

I am very curious to compare it with the cost of a 1/350 build. Or five 1/350 builds. Scratchbuilding seems much more fun than kit assembling.

The Admiral is the master of working on a budget. Your asking the right person when it comes to doing a nice build on a small investment.

What was the total for the Moffet or the Iron Duke? Around 400�?

Tommy is correct, Duane will cost under �450 , on a quick recon up it comes to �365.00 things to do will cost very little except for the 2 speed controls at �30.00 EACH.

Hi Ron Yes it just goes to show have inexpensive scratch building can be. You really get value for money.
