Wonder if we'll get a new Illustrious, how old is the Aoshima version?

I notice that today, Monday 9/1 (or 1/9 if you prefer), the Aoshima Ark Royal is the #1 selling item at Hobby Search. Preorders, of course.
What a surprise

Yep:

HLJ also:

Does anyone have any clue is it new mold or some earlier reissue with new weapons sprues?
To my knowing the only plastic 1/700 Shimakaze so far was Tamiya's offering.

We'll know when we see sprue shots. That said, having recently built the Tamiya I can say that the photos on the Hobby Search page look nothing like that older kit.
I'd say completely new tooling.

Yes; although a very different look to the older resin kit in that it was depicted carrying turret/barbette/barrels in its design role: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10059310a/20/1
The resin kit comes with 3 resin barrels, and resin barbette. It does not come with the turret, despite what the photo of the completed kit shows. Directions for the resin kit represent the turret with dashed lines - which I take to mean, "if you had one, this is where it would go."

The machine translation at HobbySearchJP is always a lark, but suggests the exterior turret would also be omitted from this new kit as well: "As a bonus parts, parts of comes (part reproduce the internal) Yamato type 46cm main turret, including the bullet feed room."

New 1/700 "EASY" series from Fujimi???

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/918/0/1

Look at one of the individual items on the linked page. The description ("feel free paint not"  ) seems to indicate multi-colored molding; shades of Matchbox in days gone by.

At last a 1:700 IJN Kaga triple deck, a.k.a. "Kaga Club Sandwich" :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:
October release from Fujimi:
http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ43125/Nav

Now we have :
Akagi : 1-never-were original project battle cruiser (Amagi class), 2-Akagi triple deck and 3-Akagi WW2
Kaga : 2-Kaga triple deck and 3-Kaga WW2

Still missing is a never-were original Battleship (Tosa class) for Kaga... and we'll have the complete design history of these two carriers at 1:700 scale.

I believe Tosa is going to be released, according to Gernot. What are the 2 triple deck Kaga's? Apart from this new release.

We might expect a test-shot, or at least CAD drawings, at the All-Japan Hobby Show.

OK, but what about the 1/350 Kaga? Is it a confirmed release with a date, or just a rumour?

I think same way only rumor for the first like 1/350 USS Pennsylvania from Dragon still is since years! :-(

The links did not work for me, but I guess it is about the kits by ROP o.s., which are actually Samek kits, i.e. they are resin kits.
