Going over research material, I found an interesting image of grid patterns on the weapons platforms I had not seen before. Can someone give some background on this? Very much want to incorporate this on the Bonhomme Richard.

Your lighting looks AWESOME!
I wonder what the grid work is. It looks like they did it to the catwalks forward of that.

Great job there, I too feel your pain with PE. I hate working with it too, I always mess it up or crush it during a build.

Thanks Jim. I'm getting better at it. I figure by the time I finish my 1/200 Arizona with KA set, I'll be an expert!

Maybe that will work for you, it just made me feel like an idiot.

Looking great James! PE is unfortunately a necessary evil, especially given your ambitious build plan

It may be a pain, but you're doing a great job at it. Patience is key.

Ah yes, necessary evil indeed. It's good to have other ongoing builds to step back from one to stay fresh. I thought this would be a good time to get my 1/200 Arizona a little further along. Ambitious is an understatement. As of now, I'm still on schedule to finish these projects in time for my winter project: 1/48 Wooden HMS Surprise.
