Thank you Dan!

Snapped a few more pictures. Currently working on the last float plane - procrastinating between a stationary or moving propeller.

Thanks guys!!

It's coming to its end .. some areas like the stanchions need to be painted, add sailors/pilots on deck and, give the Yamato an overall spray of dull coat. Then onto working the sea.

Thanks Dan K!

For those interested, the sailors are Shelf Oddity and the pilots are NorthStar Models - made of resin, not the greatest to work with; I think they discontinued all their 1/700 models.

your build, its really fabulous, both your subtle weathering and the seascape. The amount of patience your poor into this is really something, it looks terrific even more so when thinking this is 1/700. I would love to see you build a Yamato or other BB in 1/350 at some point!

Greetings IJNfan

I have those resin sailors and I broke off 4 from 50 (they are on same stand) - and I gave up. So the fact that you managed to persevere and get it all done is kind of amazing. :thumbs_up_1:

Thank you for the compliments IJNfan and Pascalemod!

IJNfan, the next ship I have inline is a 1/700 Russian battleship (borodino) by ComBrig, the "Slava". I bought several detailed kits from NorthStar Models for it. Maybe, eventually, I'll look into a 1/350th scale ship.

Agreed Pascalemod, these 1/700 IJN pilots by NorthStar Models are a nightmare - made of resin, brittle like glass!! I was able to successfully remove only one pilot (out of 50) from the base without losing feet or legs. The ones on the Yamato were parts taken from many severed pilots pieced together (to the boot) or, I would build-up hands with thick paint. The Shelf Oddity sailors were bit better - made of rubbery plastic, but very delicate - I kept loosing their heads!

Finished painting the pilots and added detailed to hold their "mission debriefed" - I'll call it.
