I've made some detail items of 5"/38 guns, doors,pointer and trainer's sites,blast hoods and cylinders.

Nice job on the blast hoods and cylinders. Few know how small those parts are!

Ships are referred to as female, and your efforts at replicating her form are very admirable. If she were a living being, she'd be proud of the work you've put into this model.

My only comment on the 5" twin mounts is that the elevation is in a common sleeve, for other than maintenance the barrels move as one.

I've made gun barrels of Bofos A.A gun.

The accurate production of so many 40 mm barrels is very impressive. I have built those for my much larger 1:120 ship project and they are not easy! I still haven't made the 20 mm barrels which will be about the same size as your 40 mm's.

As always impressive. So far I have no ready made commercial materials in my ship, you are providing the inspiration!

Do you use a 4 jaw chuck in a lathe to turn those? I see the square section is slightly offset from the axis?

I don't use any machines,use only stationery cutter and sand paper.

Impressive work, getting all of them to be the same. I just finished eight twin 20 mm Orlikon's in the much easier 1:120 scale. Your dedication to using wood for everything including such items as chains which most modelers would buy, shows a great mastery of the medium. Thank you for the continuing inspiration! Tom
