I'm glad you guys liked it, i'm not done completely though after i'm done adding the missing railings i intend to add a couple of lines i saw on my 3D Nagato book. i must say i think i did a pretty good job on it i deserve a second can of beer next time i work on the mast  i'll try to post some pictures on thursday if i get to finish something else i won't be able to post anything on sunday because i'll be coming back from my trip to Norfolk VA. i promised myself i was going to go there and i'm , i reserved a decent hotel by the beach for the weekend and well wish me a good road trip i'll make sure of bringing some shots with me i want to see the USS Wisconsin but somehow i'm more interested to see the dockyards and specially the USS North Carolina on my way back

thanks again

The aft structure is all done i even gave it a mild wash with my water colors. last week i received the final ingredient to finish Nagato's deck, it was the anchor chain so as soon as i glue it i'll start working on the railings and then the paint job. I really thought about finishing the funnel first but after going over some of the guide's drawings i must have the deck ready first. BTW, yesterday i got the 1/350 Myoko from Hobby Search and i'm most impressed by its quality, among many things that caught my eyes there was one in particular that really left me drooling. Molded cable reels look spectacular and yes they come separately on the sprues :woo_hoo: i'll try to take some pictures of the kit tomorrow.

I wonder though, wouldn't it have been easier to paint the hull and the little greebles on the deck first and then just glue the wooden deck down?

Now you have to mask the whole deck again to paint it.

Hi there Mr. Reaper

I thought about it at first, finish the most i could do on the hull ,paint it, then add the wooden deck and whatever came afterwards airbrush it separately. It sounded like i had a good plan in my grasp until i discovered i had to remove dozens of molded deck details in order to place the wooden deck correctly. i couldve airbrushed every tiny part and glue them to the painted deck but if i had to choose between this uncharted step and masking ill gladly take the one i know. i scratched off the first idea and went for this other and so far i don't regret it. Masking takes a lot of time and that is the only setback but im not afraid of doing it believe me after a couple of times you get used to it :lol_1:
