Great job! Lovely looking ship. I've always been a fan of USN World War II cruisers. Congratulations on a fantastic job. You should submit her to the Gallery.

Great looking build. She was a handsome ship, and you've done her justice.

Nikos,
What a great looking USS San Francisco build you have there. Your pictures show her off very well also. I am impressed with your completed build.
Well done!

I`m not a huge fan of US ships, but the san Francisco is one with a history that makes her well worth a build. This is an inspirational build, GTDEATH13.
Regards, Dave.

Thank you for your kind words gentlemen.... It feels good to see one's efforts appreciated.
Images have been submitted to the gallery.
I used White Ensign Models photoetch details. Colors used are humbrol enamels, 157 for the Navy Blue and 77 for the deck blue. The hull is WEM Colourcoats Antifouling red. The display stand is wooden with kitchen cabinet knobs as finials. For rigging I used monofil embroidery thread. For the thicker lines I used synthetic thread. Some dry brushing was done for highlighting details and a wash using oil colors was done. In between the various stages of the paintjob I used future.
