HMS Courageous 1917

Here a screen shot from my latest build on GoogleSketchup:
It's HMS Courageous in her 1917 fit (As a Battlecruiser). It's only my second "real" ship. The other is USS Deleware. The drawings are from wikipedia. The Google Sketchup is a bit rough, it's really meant for architectural modeling. But with some patience a relatively nice model can be built. I'll post some more if anyone's interested. Enjoy!

With Google Sketchup, can you place her in Scapa Flow or in the Firth on Google Earth? That would be ubercool!

Thanks for the compliments.
If I had google earth, I could place her in Scapa. I don't have Google Earth though (Not yet at least

Very cool Avery. A fine looking - if odd - warship. Would love to see one released by Combrig or WEM!

Thanks for the kind words. Here's another pic:
I tried to export two, but something happened and the second didn't turn out right.

Erm.. shouldn't this ship have steel decks?
But nice to see such a pretty piece of subject matter, I am glad to see somebody else obviously appreciates these little gems

Here's another shot....was playing around with the new version of Sketchup
Steel decks you say? I just followed with what the drawings showed. I'll correct it.

Avery,
I'm not saying outright that I am right and that your drawings are wrong - just to which drawings do you refer? See, if this is a 1917 fit - I'm fairly sure this ship should have steel decks, with the diagonal patterned footstrips - as per HMS Repulse and HMS Renown when first commissioned.
Somebody please correct me if I have this wrong. I know for certain that Furious had steel decks.
Regards,
Joseph
