1/700 Pit Road IJN carrier Katsuragi

Pit Road plastic model of Unryu class carrier IJN Katsuragi in 1/700 scale.

I was building this kit with Fujimi Unryu 2 years ago but stopped...

The Katsuragi deck stripes had a different pattern but the kit decal was not correct, so i had to mask and paint...

I agree, it's beautifully done. So, how does the PitRoad version compare to the Fujimi version? Which do you prefer?

Very nice indeed!

And inspiring. I wouldn't mind doing their sister Amagi lying on her side in the water at Kure one day...
The Fujimi kit seems good enough for the job!

I remember seeing that picture in this one history book I'd borrowed from my college library of Amagi on her side. Such a sad sight and testament to the defeat that was already upon Japan at the time�they just didn't want to admit it.

And those are some excellent carrier builds, as always Ryuji!

Fantastic :thumbs_up_1: I'm a big fan of those late war green carriers. Masking that camouflage pattern is a huge effort and you've come up with some great results!
