So... how DO you Display your Models at Home...?

I reckoned it would be of some interest to us all to see how we show our models once completed.
I personally am more of a collector than a builder ....
The 'Having' of the end-result is more important to me than the actual construction of the model,
which has never prevented me from being an obsessive builder.... hoho

....
Here is how the models look within my home ...!

Yay-I am lucky!

Looks very nice, Jim!
I just have 6 bookshelves so far, where the models are being placed. Older models are standing open, the ones I built lately all have a protective plexiglass case. A number of models are displayed in showcases in my two offices (much place there, little place at home).
When I will move in a few months, I am going to have a special room for modelling lab, and it will have similar showcases like yours.

Oh c'mon Jim, as if people actually finish a model...
The last one I finished ended up in the trash can after a small accident....

Nice post Jim, and a nice way to show your jewels!
To be honest I've not a lot to show yet

but I built 1/35 tanks until ten years ago when I stop modeling, most of them gone lost during a change of home, but now I'm back ...
My display case is son of globalization "made in Ikea" !
... like Jim paint all his show cases with the sky my wife painted all the room sky before I start building warships ... premoniton?

They are beautiful. I liked the idea of inclining the bases, which facilitates viewing. Good idea.

Jim? Do you ever come outside the house?
Retired aswell?
So many ships, and carefully assembled, must take ages !
Beautiful Displays, I sure would like to have a 'Baumann'

Jim having had the pleasure of seeing your models for real I can honestly say and with some conviction, that you have more models on display than many maritime museums. A superb collection superbly displayed sums it up.

Two Ikea IVARs which are 35" WOA as compared to an almost US standard of 30" WOA. The extra width allows the Iowa and Essex class ships. The back and bottom panels are plywood add-ons. There is a glass front which was removed for the photo.

Hi Jef that's a fine display of models you have there, any favorites? or one that you considered gave you the most satisfaction to build?

Favorites?
Yes, the ships than I scratch
BB Tennessee
BB Kostenko
BB Putilov
BB H44
Akagi
Panzerschiff Study5
Panzerschiff Study14
...
Scratch is really a high pleasure, greater than plastic model.
Yes, I know, there are some default or aproximativ representation, but what a pleasure to start from nothing...

That's the problem with big RC models you have to cover them up
