Bases

Apologies if this has been asked before but does anyone have a good source of wooden bases in the UK?

I get mine from Just Bases.

Or alternatively, buy a sheet of wood from HomeBase and get them to cut it to my specs.

I build mine myself, I just go to the local do-it-yourself store where they can cut boards on order, and cut a rectangular board piece... costs about 1 euro or so. Then I buy some nice wooden profiles there, also about 1 euro/meter, cut the profiles, and glue them around the board. Gives a good look and takes max 1 hour of time to build.

I have in the past had some nice oak bases made for me, the person who made them was on ebay at one point but I'm not sure now, in any case I think I still have his email, send me a pm if you are interested

Try Armstrong Bases. They turn up at most of the shows with a bewildering array of wooden bases in all shapes and sizes and very good value. If you give a ring it may be poss ible to get him to produce something of the exact size you want.
