I was born in Massachusetts, and have the Trumpy 1/350 kit in the stash, so I'll be watching this one with interest.

Very nice!

I love this class of battleship more than the North Carolina i should say. I visited the USS Alabama years ago and what a sight to see in person.

The SODAK's always looked mean, formidable and brooding. I remember seeing one moored in Sinclair Inlet (by Puget Sound Naval Shipyard when I was young. Amazing about of guns and armor packed into a small space and the quite visible conning tower looking very warlike!

I really like the way you have stiffened the hull by installing blocking between the frames. This is a very good way to insure they pieces remain parallel! I have also copied your use of wooden clothes pins, the local craft store has some miniature ones that are very useful!
Always interesting projects! Cheers: Tom

Song,
I'm watching this one!
I visited the USS Massachusetts in Fall River, Mass., while I was in Officer Candidate School at Newport, Rhode Island. Back then I was skinny enough that I probably could have crawled into the 16" gun barrels. The 16" thick armor and armored doors on the pilot house were also very impressive.
