Post by kennylibben »

Hey guys,

i cant find any plans for the HMS Faulknor, type F destroyer. I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a vendor selling them?
It's not who you are, but what you do that defines you.

Have you investigated the recently republished Peter C. Smith book on her?

There are no plans inside, but the colour camouflage plates on back of the dustcover might be useful as would the many photos inside.

In terms of plans for her, or any of the other A to I flotilla leaders, I'm not aware of any commercial plans company having ever drawn any sadly.

The full original plans of the Flotilla Leader H.M.S. Faulknor (which are so detailed that even the chairs in the wardroom are shown), are held by the National Maritime Museum and can be viewed by appointment at the Old Bell Foundry Woolwich Arsenal London.

Only problem there though Peter is they charge about 40 a sheet the last time I bought some plans from them and for our international friends there is no easy way for them to see before they buy as to what their getting.
