Hi everyone, its been a while since I posted a new project, but my latest acquisition I just had to share.
I have been buying 1/350 scale submarines from a company called Mikro Mir, they are very basic kits but have some good detail and look pretty good completed, they have a a few selections of submarines from different eras from the US as well as Russia.

I digress, I saw this kit as one of their 1/350 scale kits and figured why not, it arrived today, which is a little over a week from the Ukraine which isnt bad.

Before I ordered this kit I did a little research on this aircraft and it is awesomely mind blowing, if the Imperial Japanese navy would have built this aircraft it would have been the largest man made flying object in history, this aircraft was larger than a WW2 Japanese destroyer.

On to some pics.

As I have mentioned in the comments with the pics all the parts are going to need to be cleaned and fitted before final assembly, the detail is pretty good.

I dont really recommend this kit for beginners because of the amount of pre work thats going to be required, beyond that it looks like a fun challenge and I will be researching a little further into this aircraft to see if there was any planned armament and what it consisted of and what the layout would have been.

Gruezi!

Is that destroyer 1/350? or 1/700...? that would make th Kawinishie gargantuan?!

I was equally astonished that the 1/700 Ekranoplan KM was as big asa TN light cruiser 1916...!!!

Big. The black plane is the Spruce Goose.

Hi, yes the destroyer is 1/350 scale, its the kit from Tamiya.
Actually the plane is about the same length as the USS Indianapolis.

So yes this aircraft would have been gigantic.

That Ekranoplan does look huge, but it looks proportional, the Kawanishi KX-03 is just unimaginable, its hard to envision something that huge, almost wish they had time to have built a prototype that survived the war.

I like how the wing floats are about the size of a Sutherland or an Emily.
