Hello Shipbuilders,
Is there anyone that has built 1:96 or 1:72 Town Class Cruiser WWI.
HMS Chester is the most famous in text, maybe, but for the model builder 1:96 or 1:72
HMS Bristol , HMAS Adelaide might be better ( only 2 Screws not 4) might be better.
WEM have a model of Chester, I remember years ago Task Force 72 had a WWI Town Hull
in 1:72 .
Is Task force 72 anymore in Australia, Mike Kear was the website man.
all info appreciated.
Best regards, Ville

Chester and her sister Birkenhead were not RN Town class, but were originally designed by Cammell Laird for the Greek Navy. You will find some similarities with the Town class, but be careful with your research.

If you need references, then the Cammell Laird archive is now held by Wirral Borough Council.

Cheers,

Rob
