Hello and I hope you have broad shoulders for this - I feel that this model would look great mounted within a transparent case, in a sea/beach dio or as a reference model, I have built the 1-72 and found it both rubbish (very basic) and quite boring, the model you've created would do even better with a minimum crew of 3, or you could go mad and deck the whole thing out, the whole L.C.V.P. not much better then 1st class stuff, well done in a very good build.
As you can see by my poor attempt

Thanks for all your comments. This model is meant to be shown stand-alone, not in a beach diorama. It's kept in a aluminum/glass display case
along with other boats of the same scale, i.e. another LCVP from Italeri, LCM-3 from Italeri (carrying a Sherman tank and lot of troops) and the
Elco 80' Torpedo Boat also from Italeri. Luckily you didn't suggest that I include the Elco 80' (shown a little earlier) in a diorama!
Your 1/72 dio looks OK. Next time try 1/35 one, it will have more details. I had my modeler built some beach dio's and I want to show you some:
The Omaha Beach:
----------
The Longest Day:
How about that? I have more pictures on my site. If you want to see more, try searching this menu:

Have fun!

That beach dio looks great, although I have only scanned through some of the dioramas, I have already decided to nick some of the ideas to scale them into 1-72, the attached pix is my 1-35 that I called 'dogs of war' never done anything this big before, then I did another which then and there convinced me to stick to 1-72, I tend to get away with more in I-72 then I do with 1-35

Aleccap, thanks for your comments on the dio's. I've seen your dio's, they're awesome! They remind me of "Alien Predators"
Jim, thanks for your kind comments on the LCVP. It's my pleasure to show. More warhips (1:350) are being built.
