Does anybody convert Revell Fletcher 1/144 into RC?

Hi all!

I wonder does anybody currently working on converting Revell's Fletcher 1/144 into RC model? I would be happy to see that project and am thinking of purchasing one for myself for these purposes. If none of our MW scratchbuilder does it may be you know a link to some other sites where somebody started such project?

I need it to evaluate my options to purchase this model and make it RC. I want to assemble a plastic kit and make it RC. I want not less than 1:200 scale (better 1:144 or bigger) as in smaller scales (and even in 1:200) railings and other details are very fragile. I can not buy Voyage or Nichimo models as they are not sold in Ukraine or in Russia. I want the model to be at least 80 cm (so that Trumpeters Sovremennyi in 1:200 does not fit). The only options I see are Revell Fletcher and Revell Snowberry. I know that Snowberry is better suited for such purpose due to its length:width ratio but I like Fletcher more - and one shall be in love with a ship to bring the model to the end and not stop in-between :cool_2: (I love the idea of Bismark in 1:144 but expected price of more than 600 Euros... :heh: :heh: :heh: - in this case I'l better scratchbuild something)

By the way are there any rumors that Revell (or somebody) will do Fletcher in 1:72? (I would choose 1:72 even it is more expensive, hopefully about half of expected Bismark 1:144 price) I heard modellers asking this question like 'will Revell make 1:72 Fletcher' on several forums? Does anybody have any hints?

Happy modelling

Sad info for all those who hoped Revell will do Fletcher in 1:72.

I wrote to them a letter with this question and received an answer - I shall say they have great customer support since I got the answer during the same week I wrote a request. The answer was very clear and not allowing any dubious interpretations: '...we do not have any plans of making Fletcher in 1:72...'.

So I will have to go into scratchbuilding :heh: - I want a RC 1:100 or so model (not Snowberry)
