I was always fascinated by the story of the 'voyageurs' that brought the furs down from the North to the Great Lakes.

Some years ago I started to collect literature on bark- and skin-boats: https://www.maritima-et-mechanika.org/m ... graphy.pdf

Particularly the book by Jennings on the models of bark canoes created by E.T. Adney is a nice one to have because of the large and colourful photographs of these boats.

BTW, do you have a link to the manufacturer of this kit?
