Hey guys, I'm in need of some 1/700 scale bridge windows for the Leyte build and was wondering what I could use. I know I've seen some people use vert ladders and modified railings for windows in the past. Any other suggestions? I was thinking of using some 1/350 vert ladders I have. Would they be close enough in scale? I want to replicate the angled windows used on the Forrestals and other carriers. I think it will work but just wanted to see if anyone else had any thoughts on the matter.

Cliffy,

I don't know much about 1/700 PE but in 1/350 I've noticed that GMM has a bottom piece to their depth charge racksthat strikes me as having closer proportions to windows than vetical ladders so I'm going to try them on my Gearing to Sumner build and see how they look. Just a thought.

GMM has two different size 1/700 bridge windows on their "Naval Ship" PE Set and two or three different size bridge windows on their Modern USN/JMSDF set.

Lion Roar and Hasegawa both make dedicated IJN sets.

Joe World has three dedicated IJN sets, but they can be tough to find outside of Japan.

Thanks Nuke! I have that set and completely forgot those were on there. I'll need more than that though, there's only 3 short sections.

Riegels, I'll look into those. Do you think it matters if they say they're IJN?

I still think some vert ladders might do the trick, need to get my hands on some and compare. Thanks for the help guys!
