Hey guys, was wondering if anyone had an ideas on how to scratch build some 1/700 carrier flight deck netting? I know GMM has some PE sheets with some on it but its already pre-built to fit the Forrestal's through the Nimitz's. I need some some to fit an Essex deck, IE straight and long. I was thinking I could use some Plastruct N scale ladders (Hobbytown USA has them) and snip some of the rungs to match the spacing needed and cover them with some sort of fine mesh (maybe wedding veil tulle?) and the spraying the whole thing gray. Thoughts?

I was thinking about the same thing for my Jag Sumner and Gearings. I was going to use some strainer net from the el cheapo plastic strainers that they sell in the dollar stores.

Some options:
Lionroar makes a set of IJN flight deck netting:

You may find it close enough to USN ones.
Alternatively, to assist in the scratchbuilt version, they also make an "1/350 IJN Perforate Board" - not sure if the holes will be small enough for 1/700 netting, but I assume that net holes are larger than "perforate board" holes, so it should be ok:

Hey guys, i just found these over on Freetime; think they'd work? I'm thinking the 0.3mm would be fine enough for 1/700, ideas?
