Chinese Destroyers - Military Green Deck/Grey Hull

Post by jfseaton »

Hello everyone
I am building a fleet of Chinese destroyers ( Haerbin, Zunyi, Hefei, Nanchang, etc). The instructions call for the decks to be "Military Green". I use Tamiya and WEM paints for most of my painting. Can someone recommend what color I should use ???
Next question, what color grey should I use on the hull and superstructure ??? John at WEM recommended Royal Navy Light Grey (M 01) with a hint of Green added.

Thanks for everyones help,
Jeff

Here is a photo of the deck of a Type 052B:

a Type 054A frigate:

Harbin (Type 052):

Type 051:

For me the decks are dark grey and not green. I had used Humbrol 147 for the vertical parts and Humbrol 157 for the decks.
