Pro Engineer Tirpitz

Hi, im new here, i study CAD (Domputer Aided Design) at uni. and as a little side project i have to model a heller 1/400 kit i bought from ebay on Pro Engineer wildfire 2.

Here is a pic of the bridge area

just wondering what you guys thought of it and if any else uses pro E?

looks good,

to me the hull seems to be a bit awkward compared to the superstructure....but im not a hull OR tirpitz expert, so dont take my word for it.

but a nice job! keep posting updates for us! :thumbs_up_1:

yeah i have had some problems modelling the hull itself, i think i will go back and try a different technique. Pro E is n't the best surfacing package available.

Nice work. I'm not a pro E user, prefer AutoCAD. Does Pro E do lofted surfaces well?

Pro E isn't the best for surfacing, as you can get problem when you thicken the surface to a solid. Just takes some time to do.

still work in progress but a lot closer to completion!

i think the CAD model is starting to look better than actual heller kit! - my painting is quite poor!
