Iron Duke & Marlborough Rendevous!
Posted: Sun Feb 19, 2006 11:59 am
It is hoped that on Sunday July 2nd 2006, H.M.S. Iron Duke and H.M.S. Marlborough, will sail together for the first time since Jutland. This could mark a first in modelling history, for two WW1 model Battleships to be seen sailing together.
Although Marlborough will not be fully fitted out, it is hoped to be at a reasonable advanced stage of completeness.
A full report of the day's activities will be given on this site, together with a good selection of photographs.
All this will be taking place at Kingsbury Water Park, Warwickshire as part of the K.W.P.M.B.C. Warship Day. It is hoped to attract a large number of various warships. Let's just pray for decent weather.
Amen.
