Anyone looking for a project?

Greetings!

I have done some drawings of a cold war version of a large air dominance cruiser. My son and I would like to turn these drawings into plans for a 1:72 scale RC ship, but I don't have the skills necessary to turn a two dimensional drawing into plans.

If there is anyone willing to help, please feel free to contact me here or a private message.

Thanks!

Chris, 2D drawings make fine plans. What are you having problems with? Also what software are you using?

Tim:

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've done a couple of two-view drawings (top and side) of my version of a CG(X) guided missile cruiser. I modified a VISBY-hull as the basis of these drawings.

I'm using PaintShop Pro 6.x to create these images. I'd like to take these drawings and use them as plans for an R/C ship.

The problem I'm running into is translating these drawings into plans I can use- in particular for building the hull.

If it's helpful, I can post the drawings.

Thanks!
Chris

Sorry for the delay, my cookies marked this forum as read.

The problem is that images don't always make good plans. It is better to start with CAD so that you can easily edit the drawings. For ship plans it is helpful to be able to separate the components. When the drawings are made up of pixels they are extremely difficult to edit and modify. With CAD those elements are vectors and can me modified with little effort.

Your best bet is to download a free CAD programs and start playing.
