1/350th lifeboats

My Strasbourg is crazy with open lifeboats. Any ideas on creating masters?
My thought was to shape the lower 2/3 of the hull in solid pvc foam board. Then add square stock across for seats and trim. Then sheet one side up to the seat tops, trim, then sheet the other side
