So, as the Russian group build nears, I am trying to find out what colors the Soviet navy used during WW2, or just prior and if there is any available paints or facsimiles of. This is for a Kirov class cruiser. From the photos I have it looks like a pretty light grey and I know that the decks are often a rustish color.

Hello Chris; I think 5 months is long enough to go without an answer so here goes. I have asked this and also the standard light grey color of French ships at the beginning of WWII. So here goes: Soviet use Humbrol #140 if you can still get it or White ensign 507B. you will have to look up their part number but it is in the royal navy range. For French use Humbrol #127. If anyone has issue I hope they chime in.
